Universal Recruitment and Interim Solutions secure

Universal Recruitment and Interim Solutions (URS) is delighted to announce that we have been awarded an Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) 2023 Bronze Award, which recognises our ongoing support to the Armed Forces Community and Defence people in the UK.

The ERS Awards was launched in 2014 by the Prime Minister to recognise employer support for the wider principles of the Armed Forces Covenant and the initiative continues to go from strength to strength as employers like URS recognise the invaluable contribution veterans, Service leavers and forces families can make to UK businesses.

Guy Denison-Smith, Managing Director of Universal Recruitment & Interim Solutions, commented:

“Our team is unrelenting in its pursuit of securing gainful employment for veterans, service leavers and the wider forces community. We’re delighted to receive this award and hold it as a badge of huge pride as we advocate to employers the tremendous skills that ex-military personnel bring to employers”.

Fidelma Hewitt, Director of Universal Recruitment & Interim Solutions, said:

“This award is the icing on the cake following a fantastic Q1 for URS. Our team is more motivated than ever to support job seekers and harness the exceptional skills of veterans that we know employers both need and want.”

This year’s 181 award winners join a group of winners from previous years bringing the total to 5110 organisations who can share their knowledge and experience on the benefits of employing those from the Armed Forces community.

The Bronze award is the first level of recognition and requires employers to demonstrate that they have made a commitment to support the armed forces community. To achieve the Bronze award, an employer must:

  • Sign the Armed Forces Covenant
  • Publicly promote their commitment to the Covenant
  • Demonstrate that they have at least one policy or HR process in place to support employees who are members of the armed forces community
  • Demonstrate that they actively recruit and support armed forces veterans, reservists, and cadet instructors

By achieving the Bronze award, URS has demonstrated their commitment to supporting the armed forces community as a military-friendly employer. Congratulations to all organisations across the UK who have received their #BronzeERS2023 award.
